In celebration of International Women’s Day, we are highlighting some of the amazing female founders whose goods we carry at Court’s General Store. These women are paving the trail for female founders with their inspiring stories and passion for what they create.

1. Solmate Socks

Solmate Socks was started in the year 2000 by Marianne Wakerlin with the simple idea that “Life’s too short for matching socks.” She knew there was a market for beautifully crafted, mismatched socks made in the U.S. The company quickly grew out of a small room in her house to three different offices in the US and internationally.

 2. Good & Well Supply Co.

Megan McLaughlin started Good & Well Supply Co. after an inspiring year-long National Park tour. Today, Megan has taken her favorite scents from these National Parks and infused them into candles and car fragrances. With each purchase, the company donates a portion of their profits to the National Park Foundation and Washington’s National Parks Fund.

 3. Dear Summit Co.

Founded and designed by Deanna Jensen, Dear Summit Co. was started from Deanna’s love for the outdoors and adventurous spirit. Deanna designs her products to accompany any adventure, wherever the path takes you. Dear Summit Co. donates a portion of their proceeds to the National Parks Foundation with each purchase.

6. Court’s General Store

Just over 2 years ago, Court opened Court’s General Store - a collection of her favorite adventure goods, home goods, and apparel. The idea to open a store was inspired by Court’s childhood trips up north with her family. It has been Court’s dream to create a store where you could find everything for your next adventure.
